We have decided to enter the world of blogging in order to share with family and friends our journey to becoming a family of five. We are in the process of an international adoption and are very excited to share updates along this journey.

Back from Downtown Chicago
I just arrived at Susan's house from getting our last dossier document authenticated at both the Secretary of State and Chinese Consulate offices. I am very grateful to Susan for taking care of the kiddos since 7:30am so that this could be an efficient trip. The kids would not have enjoyed the two hour wait at the Chinese Consulate. That office was crazy busy! I got there 5 minutes after they opened and there were already 40 numbers in front of me. The couriers who are regulars at the Chinese Consulate were telling me that this was one of the busiest days they ever saw. I think a lot of people must have had Good Friday off work and decided to come to do their visa paperwork. I just sat back and people watched a read a great book by Dr. Joe White called "Faith Training". It is a very encouraging book for parents so it was a fun way to spend my wait time. One more piece of the adoption journey completed. :)
