Signed our Letter of Confirmation Today! :)

The Fed Ex guy delivered our envelope full of paperwork today as we were sitting at our kitchen table finishing up lunch. The Letter of Confirmation to Adopt was in there and now is signed and on its way back to Gabriel! We had a few other immigration paperwork items that needed to be proofread, signed, dated that should arrive at the JOH office in Oregon on Monday...then off to USCIS offices and other places they have to travel in order to get the next step of approval. There were other papers in the Fed Ex envelope that need to be notarized in regard to "disclaimers" for our travel to China, etc. Those are just for our agency to have and did not need to be sent back ASAP. So we will have those notarized by our friend at church on Sunday then send them back to Gabriel. Signing off on the Letter of Confirmation where you check a box that says we accept the referral of our daughter was so neat...that officially means that we choose her!! With Isaac turning 4 in two days, Rachel starting first grade in less than two weeks, Phil in girls tennis season now the time will just fly and then we will be travelling to China to meet our little girl. She turns 19 months old tomorrow! I wonder sometimes what the nannies have told her about the little family photo album we sent to her and how her mind processes any info she has received about the big life change she has coming up in late October/early November. This was a very special day for our family as we took a big step closer to becoming a family of five! Thank you God for your perfect timing in this process.

  1. How special that you were all there together to receive, sign and send off. It's great that you have this special "e-journal" to see the ways in which God orchestrated each step.
