We have decided to enter the world of blogging in order to share with family and friends our journey to becoming a family of five. We are in the process of an international adoption and are very excited to share updates along this journey.

Arrived in Guangzhou
We made it to Guangzhou and are settled into our hotel now. The flight was not nearly as bad as I was expecting....we landed 30 min earlier than scheduled so it was only 14 and a half hours instead of 15. :) Honestly, I slept on and off during most of the first two-thirds of the flight and Phil got a bit of sleep toward the end. It was about 9pm when we got to our Hong Kong hotel and we were both quite exhausted by that point so we went right to bed and got 9 hours of sleep! We honestly are not suffering from jet lag a bit. The train ride to Guangzhou was relaxing and we met our guide Lee at the train station. She had a driver arranged to bring us to the Victory hotel and helped us to check in and get oriented to places to go here on Shamian Island. The hotel is wonderful, Lee is so helpful, and we are going to go walking around the area a bit and find some delicious food to eat since we did not have lunch yet...Cantonese maybe? Will post a few pics later...we will be meeting Chun Le tomorrow at 2:30pm. A little less than 24 hours away now!!!
