Still no TA :(

Our agency is not sure why the travel approval has not arrived. The conclusion Gabriel came to today is that the China liason must have gotten incorrect info last week about the fact that our TA had been sent. If that was true, it certainly would have arrived at our agency by now. Over the weekend, Gabriel put in a request to the China liason to go to CCAA offices and find out the status of our case. The email he got today from the liason is that he was not able to make contact with CCAA...sigh! My guess is that CCAA (China Center for Adoption Affairs) is a huge governmental agency that is daily swamped with paperwork and does not always respond to questions/requests in an efficient manner---sort of like most government agencies. :) We are hoping that the liason will get in contact soon and get some correct info for us and/or that our TA just shows up! Please pray with us that we would be granted travel approval soon and that we would be content to wait on the Lord's perfect timing. We are still hopeful for late Nov/early Dec travel but not very likely it will be Nov 18-30 anymore. Jill just had periodontal surgery today (a double tissue graft) so it is not such a bad thing to have our travel backed up a bit. It will give more time to heal and have the ability to be busy packing and planning for our trip to China. Right now, for about a week, she is limited in talking (must talk like a ventriloquist and keep her teeth together), soft/liquid food diet, and on pain meds. She would love to be on a plane to China on Nov 18th anyway, but extra recovery time is OK too. :)
